Youth Recognition Program

To a kid, there's not many things more important than bagging or catching that "First" deer, turkey, bass, trout, the list goes on. The GONetwork's Sportsman Senators felt these "firsts" were so important that they developed the Youth Recognition Program. Senators allotted $1,000 per year to be spent on certificates for kids who participate in the Youth Recognition Program. This new program is a FREE service to kids.

The certificate (above) will include a color photo of each kid's "first," along with the name and date of catch or harvest.

Below are the eligible species under the Youth Recognition Program:

• Deer
• Turkey
• Dove
• Waterfowl
• Quail
• Squirrel
• Bass
• Trout
• Catfish
• Bream
• Saltwater fish

Fish caught or animals harvested must be done using legal methods in the state of Georgia. The certificate recipient must be under the age of 16 at time of the catch or harvest. Applications for certificates must be mailed within one year of the "first." All applications must include a short narrative of the activity and a picture is required. GONetwork will reserve the right to publish the narratives and photos in GONetwork publications or on the website.
